Strand Stressing End Block
EllisDon retained GeoMetrix for precast plant inspection during fabrication of the NU girders for the West Calgary Ring Road expansion. GeoMetrix performed daily inspections and documented the NU Girder fabrication in accordance with Alberta Transportation requirements. The inspections include the following process: 1) Form geometry, 2) Inserts, reinforcement, WWM, prestressing and post tension duct layout, 3) Observation of stressing and review of elongation and gauge pressure during stressing, 4) Review testing results for concrete plastic properties and observation of concrete placement, 5) Strand release, 6) Curing records, 7) Final finishing and final product inspection.
